Dimiter Georgiev

Dimiter Georgiev lives in the city of Varna on the northern Bulgarian Black Sea coast where he is the Managing Director of Neophron Tours, the tourist company of the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds. He has worked on various conservation projects including monitoring the Red-breasted Geese that winter in coastal Dobrudja and establishing the BirdLife International Important Bird Areas network in Bulgaria. Dimiter has led many birdwatching and natural history tours and believes that ecotourism can greatly contribute to improving the life of local people and thus raise awareness of wildlife and nature conservation.
